The whole eggplant is stuffed with tomatoes, onions and garlic, filled with rice, bulgur or other vegetables and dressed with plenty of tasty olive oil. Even if for many people it may just be an appetizer or side dish, I can easily say that having one portion of it (and combine it with some Turkish yogurt) is a great option to get lots of energy while having your walking tour around the cities. 5* Mercimek Corbasi (Lentil soup)
While discovering Turkey, you will realize that there are many yummy soup you can enjoy. One of my favorite ones is called Mercimek Corbasi, which contains lentils and spices and it is served with a squeeze of lemon. It is simply delicious, flavorful, so healthy and nutritious that it is easy to fall in love with. It can be eaten as a starter during lunch or dinner, but it can also be part of the amazing Turkish breakfast. I am always ready for having a cup of it! 😉
6* Kabak tatlısı (Candied pumpkin with walnuts)
If you love pumpkins, please write down in your list this unique yummy dessert. I used to eat pumpkin in salty recipes, this is why I got so curious when I saw this sweet option. What is this delicious dish about? Basically pumpkin is roasted in a sugar syrup and topped with crushed buttered walnuts. Easy and delicious. Since pumpkins are one of my favorite food, I started to make this recipe at home and I feel like I love it every day more and more.
